1). A) We observe that the total income in 2011 is the maximum.

2). E) Reqd % = [ (2375-1480) / 2375] x100
(895 / 2375) x100 = 37.68% = 38%
Note: Use approximation,
Reqd % = (900/2400) × 100 = 300/8 = 37.5
None of the choices is close to 37.5.

3). B) The income from Home Appliance in all the years = (1000 + 1320 + 1075 + 1425 + 1400) = \$6220 mn
The income from Mobile Communication = (1060 + 920 + 1180 + 1280 + 1225) = \$5665mn
Reqd difference = 6220 - 5665 = \$555mn

4). E) Reqd % = [(920+1180) / 700 ] x100
= (2100/700) x100 = 300%

5). A) Reqd % = [(9355-5665) / 5665] x 100 = (3690 / 5665) × 100 =(738/1131) × 100 = 65%
Note: Use Flag- Pole method to divide 73800 by 1131. Take 11 as pole and 31 as flag.

6). C) Reqd % = { [175 × (14/100)] / (175+105)} × 100
= (175 x14) / 280 = 175/20 = 8.75%

7). A). Reqd % = { [175× (12/100) + 105×(15/100)] / (175+105)} × 100
= [(21 + 15.75) / 280] × 100 = (36.75/280) × 100= 13.125%

8). C) Reqd % =  { [175 × (12/100)] – [105 × (19/100)] / [175×(12/100)] }
= [(21 – 19.95) / 21] × 100 = (1.05/21) × 100 = 5%

9). D) Reqd Difference = 1/3 { [(175 × 32) /100] + [(105 × 18)/100] } – 1/3 { [(175 × 14) /100] + [(105 × 35)/100] }
=  1/3 × [(56+18.9) – (24.5 + 36.75)] = 1/3 (74.9 – 61.25) = 4.55

10). D) Reqd difference

= [(34/100) × 360] – (24/100) × 360 = (10/100) × 360 = 36
