Sol. 1 man’s 1 day’s work = 1/(16*24)
1 woman’s 1 day’s work = 1/ (32*24)
Work done in 12 days = 12*16*(1/384+1/768)=3/4
Remaining work = 1 – ¾ = ¼
(16 men + 16 women)’s 2 days’ work = 2*16*(1/384+1/768)=1/8
Remaining work = ¼ - 1/8 = 1/8
work is done in 1 day by 1 man = 1/384
work will be done in 2 days by 384/(8*2)=24 men.

S2. Ans.(a)
Sol. 1 man’s 1 day’s work = 1/48
1 woman’s 1 day’s work = 1/60
6 men’s 2 days’ work Remaining work = (6*2)/48=1/4
Remaining work = 1- ¼ = ¾
So, work will be done in 3 days by x women.
=> 3/4=(3*x)/60
x = 15

S3. Ans.(e)
Sol. 1 man’s 1 day’s work = 1/84
So, 7*(5/84)+5*(x/84)=1
35 + 5x = 84
x = 9.8 = 10 days

Sol. Capacity of a man = 1/(16*15)
Capacity of a woman = 1/(20*16)
So, required ratio = (20*16) : (16*15) = 4 : 3

Sol. (A+B)’s 1 day’s work = 1/45+1/40=17/360
Work done by B in 23 days = 23 * 1/40 = 23/40
Remaining work = 1 – 23/40 = 17/40
Now, Remaining work was done by A and B in  17/40*360/17=9 days.

Sol. From the first statement If any number is divisible by 3, its square is always divisible by 9. So we cannot find the number from the given statement.
From second statement 40% of the number is 2/5th of that number. So the question cannot be answered even after using both statements together.

Sol. From statement first we can’t find the answer as shayam and Mahesh investment are not given. From second statement their ratio are= 3 : 2 : 1
So second statement is sufficient to given the answer.
