1. The Parliament of Iran has passed a bill that allows the government to implement a historic nuclear deal reached with world powers i.e. P5+1 countries. The accord will protect the Iran’s nuclear program and lifting of international economic sanctions.
2. India has given a grant of five million US Dollars to Palestine as Budgetary assistance. It was given Indian President Pranab Mukherjee to his is Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah. Indian President visited Palestine as part of his three Western Asian countries Jordan, Palestine and Israel.
3. Union Environment Ministry has approved annual plans of National Mission for Green India (GIM) of four states viz. Kerala, Mizoram, Manipur and Jharkhand. In this regard, National Executive Council (NEC) has approved the Perspective Plans (PP) and Annual Plan of Operations (APOs) of GIM submitted by 4 states.
4. A sweet banana species with orange pulp named as Musa indandamanensis has been discovered in Andamans. It was discovered by team of scientists from the Botanical Survey of India (BSI) from a remote Krishna Nalah tropical rain forest on the Little Andaman islands.
5. China has operationalised the Zam Hydropower Station built on Brahmaputra River which has raised concerns in India over the likelihood of disrupting water supplies of River.
6. Tamil Nadu state government has banned Ketoprofen, a non-steroid anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) to save critically endangered vulture population in the state. This drug has been banned in the three western districts of state viz in Erode, Coimbatore and Nilgiris where the vulture population is in danger.
7. The family members of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose met PM Modi at his residence in New Delhi on Wednesday. They have even asked for declassification of all the files related to Netaji whose mysterious disappearance 70 years ago continues to be a talking point. The Prime Minister, in his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme on September 20, had said he would be receiving over 50 members of Netaji’s family members at his residence in October.

8. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Tuesday presented the Avvaiyar award to Shanthi Ranganathan, Honorary Secretary, T.T. Ranganathan Clinical Research Foundation, also known as TTK Hospital. The award, carrying a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, an eight-gram gold medal and a citation, was instituted by the Chief Minister in 2012 to recognise the services of women in different fields of activity during the International Women’s Day.

General – 38 to 42 marks
OBC – 35 to 38 marks
SC/ST – 30 to 32 marks
As per the sources, there will be sectional cutoff for IBPS PO Prelims. Not only overall cutoff will help you clear the IBPS PO Prelims examination. 2. Reasoning: Start with those questions which are not lengthy and which appear easy to you. It is always a good idea to attempt the Reasoning section in the following order:

(v) Seating Arrangement/ Puzzle – Do not start reasoning section with these types of questions, if you get stuck on these questions, you will lose valuable time.
3. Quantitative Aptitude: Quant is the most scoring section. Do not start quant section with those questions which are lengthy or involve too many calculations. It is always a good idea to attempt the Quant section in the following order:
(i) Simplification
(ii) Quadratic Equation
(iii) Data Interpretation– Questions on Data Interpretation are usually scoring, short and not very time consuming, and thereby should be the first ones to be solved.
(iv) Number series – Please do not stick on trying to solve number series questions. Skip the questions, if you are unable to find the series.
(v) Miscellaneous questions – Average, Profit & Loss, Time & Work, etc.
Note: You must not attempt questions serial wise. Attempt those questions which appear easy to you.
How much time to allocate in each section? 
A total of one hour is allotted for all the 3 sections in this examination. To qualify each section to score overall good marks, time Management is very important.
